Srinagar, August 29 Minister for Power Nawang Rigzin Jora has said that under Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Vidyutikaran Yojana (RGGVY) three districts, of Anantnag, Pulwama and Kathua have been taken up for rural electrification while few more are being taken under phase-II. He said that Rs 48 crore in Anantnag besides, 19.26 crore in Pulwama and Rs 32 crore in Kathua districts are being spent under the yojana in the first phase. Jora was interacting with the deputation led by Choudhery Roshan Din from Sungri Mahore here today. The Minister said that the government is committed to electrify all the un-electrified villages and hamlets of the state by next three years adding that various projects have been submitted under different programmes to the Centre for formal appraisal and funding. He further said that to improve the LT/HT network, the state has been provided Rs 509 crore under APDRP scheme. He said that the government has received Rs 705 crore under Prime Minister’s Reconstruction Programme besides projects under PMRP worth Rs 1035 crore have been submitted to the Centre under the programme. The deputationists demanded establishment of receiving stations at Sungri and Majrajund, electrification of un-electrified villages of the area including Thal-Kote,Barall-Kote, Suksar, Shabras, Neoch and Shadeol, Sukka, Baggodass, Mangi-kote, Banna, Halla-Kalla, Lunianiass, Kachi, Hill, Sarsoo, Bagan-kote, Mali-kote and Kalla-Ban and construction of Mini hydel project on nallah Ichhni and Gulabgarh at Sungri (Miss-Kote) and Angralla-Neoch. The Minister gave patient hearing to the deputationists and assured that their genuine demands would be looked into and solved in a phased manner. The deputationists included Ghulam Nabi Shah, Rumail Singh, Ahmad Din, Munshi Ram, Pritam Singh, Shabir Ahmad, Prem Singh and Suraj Ram met the Minister.
