District congress committee Jammu Urban demanded relief to the affected people of Nanak Nagar and other localities of Jammu City whose houses and houses hold goods damaged in the recent rains.
S. Kirtan Singh Vice President DCC and Kailash Rani Corporator visited sector-7 and sector 14 of Nanak Nagar where rain water entered in the houses of S.Harbans Singh, Narinder Singh, Balbir Singh, Dadar Singh, Manjit Kour, Surat Singh, Charanjit Singh, Dhanbir Singh, Harjit Singh, Uttam Singh Jamwal and Harcharan Singh and caused heavy damage to their houses hold goods. They said that it is 5th time when the water entered in their houses and caused damage. Earlier too, the local MLA Raman Bhalla along with Minister for flood control Qazir Abdul Rashid visited their locality and assured them relief as well as repair of Nallah passing by the locality. But sofar nothing has been done.
S. Kirtan Singh and Kailash Rani urged upon the Dist. Administration to asses the loss and provide relief to the affected people at the earliest, beside immediate measures be taken to divert the flow of water in the Nallah.
