| Land Mafia Encroach property of Kashmir Pandits : APMCC | | | Jammu | aug 29 A large chunk of left over property of Kashmiri Pandits in the valley has been encroached by land Mafia with the connivance of some elements from administration and police. This was disclosed in a press conference by the chairman of all Parties Migrant co-ordination committee (APMCC), Vinod Pandita held here today. He said it is a matter of great concern, as the government has failed to protect the land and property of Pandit Migrants, though are act was passed in the assembly in 1997. General Secretary of APMCC, Vijay Chikam on the occasion said, recently a piece of land measuring over Six Kannals belonging to one Chamanlal Bindroo of Sopore has been encroached by Sayeed Mohammad Fareed sonof Sayeed Ghulam Din, residents of Duroo-Shahbad of South Kashmir. He further said, the culprit has been fully helped by the elements working in the govt. department. On the occasion, General Secretary introduced Mrs. Vijay Bindroo wife of Chaman Lal Bindroo to the media persons and revealed to them the whole story how his land has been grabbed. She showed genuine land papers to the media persons with the request to come to her rescue. Among other present on the occasion were, A.K. Diwani, Kuldeep Pandita, R.K. Sehgal, M.K. Kaul, Karan Choudhary, Sanjay Raina, T.K. Dhar and appeal to the chief Minister to save property of migrants.
