Normal life comes to halt at Bhaderwah
Blast on temple widely condemned

BHADERWAH, AUG 29- Normal life came to a halt with majority of the shops remaining closed and traffic off the road in Bhadrwah town today in protest against yesterday’s blast in the historical Lakshmi Naryan temple at Seri Bazaar Bhaderwah.
The call for the bandh was jointly given by the Sanathan Dharam Saba and BJP in collaboration with other social and religious organizations in protest against cowardice attack on the temple where from the Holy Kalash Kund Yatra is being taken up next month.
The entire town observed complete shut down with a protest demonstration held at Seri Bazaar Bhaderwah where the protestors shouted slogans against the state government and security agencies. They alleged that it was only due to the negligence of the security agencies that the ultras succeeded in lobbing a grenade on the temple.
The protestors were led by the Sanatam Dharam Saba Chief, senior BJP leaders included Koshal Kowal ,Satish Chander Kotwal ,Koshal Dogra ,Anoop Kotwal ,D.K.Kotwal F.C.Razdan ,Manjeet Razdan, Puneet Mehta city president and Janta Dal state senior Vice president Mast Nath Yogi and Raju Charak ex-president Sanathan Dharam Sabha. These leaders strongly condemned the attack on the temple and described it a heinous crime and said this attack is only to create communal wedge in the town. They felt the need to strengthen the security around the temples in the whole of the district
In the meantime SSP Doda Monhar Singh visited the temple and assured that the miscreants will be traced out soon.
Meanwhile several leaders including Congress Seva Dal state secretary Bashir Ahmed Wani, JKPCC senior leader Naresh Gupta, Bhaderwah Development Forum Ab.Hafeez Khateeb and Imtyiaz Ahmed Batt and Mohd Sajid Malik District President National Students Union of India have also condemned the attack on the temple and demanded judicial inquiry.
