| Govt plans Rehbar-i-Khel as in Punjab | | High power Committee to address unemployment: Mangat | |
Srinagar, August 31 – Minister for Health and Medical Education Mangat Ram Sharma while replying to a query of Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma during the Zero Hour in Legislative Assembly today said that government has constituted a high power committee to look into the issues of educated unemployed youth especially technocrats under various categories in the State and suggest measures to cope up this alarming problem. Mr. Sharma said that some teams of officers have been deputed to other states to study and analyze the measures taken there and evolve a methodology for tackling the growing problem of unemployment in Jammu and Kashmir. He said the team deputed for Punjab has asked to study the scheme of engaging the Physical Education degree holders by Youth Services and Sports Department so that a similar scheme under Rehbar-i-Khel would be introduced in the State also. Intervening on a query raised by Mr. Ashwani Sharma and others regarding problems of people living around border in Bishnah Tehsil, Mr. Mangat Ram Sharma said that Divisional Commissioners, Kashmir and Jammu would be asked to take up the issues of free movement of farmers for executing farming activities and compensation of land to the people concerned living at different border areas where fencing had been laid with the Army and BSF authorities for resolution. On the issue raised by Mr. Raman Bhalla, the Minister said that the Government is contemplating to construct a Ropeway and Gandola from Mubarak Mandi to Bahu Fort besides establishing other recreational facilities for the tourists and pilgrims visiting the State.
