| Reconstruction of Geeta Bhawan starts | | |

The reconstruction of 300 year old Geeta Bhavan, which was damaged due to earthquake on October, 8, 2005 starts from today.
The management of the Bhawan along with some local muslims formed a comities for reconstruction. The foundation stone was paid by L.C. Shastri, in presence of Dy. Commissioner J.S. Pachnanda.
Speaking on the occasion, Shastri said, a people of the area since centuries has lived like brothers and never indulge in any anti-social activities Pachnanda in his address said, poonch is the place of saints and sufies, who have taught the lesson of communal harmony all along their life. He appealed the younger generation to keep it alive. Among others function was attended by Shambunath Khajuria, Ram Lal Sharma, Satish Sassan, Vijay Puri and hundreds of people belonging Hindu and Muslim community.
