| Holy relic reaches Zanskar | | |

The holy relic of Lord Buddha reached Zanskar and was kept at Photang for darshan of the devotees. The executive councilor for health and tourism, LAHDC, Kargil Sonam Namgyal, councilor, Sub Divisional Magistrate, Zanskar, Sub Divisional officers, religious and political heads and large numbers of people including Muslim revived the holy relic at the helipad carried in a procession to photang Gonpa.
Meanwhile LAHDC, Kargil expressed deep sorrow over the accident which took place yesterday at Nimoo on Kargil-Leh in which six persons belonging to Gorkone village of Kargil district were killed and several other injured.
In a condolence meeting of councilor expressed grief over the tragedy and prayed that god may give strength to the bereaved families to bear the irreparable loss.
