| Accounts staffs flays authorities | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu Aug 31 J&K Accounts Employees Association has flayed the authorities of the finance department for not regularizing the promotion of incharge accounts officers and assistant accounts officers inspite of their placement against clear vacancies. These officers were assigned higher duties and responsibilities about two years back and had been deprived of their legitimate dues. A meeting of the association was held here today under the chairmanship of Jasbir Singh Charak. The delay in settlement of the long pending demands had become a cause of concern for the cadre members and the authorities seem to have slept over the issues of the reasons best known to them. The president of the association also expressed his concern over the service of career of the govt. cashiers due to adoption of new system of cashless transactions at the treasures. He opined that govt. cashiers be either absorbed permanently in J&K Bank or encadred in the accounts wing of the department. He warned the authorities not to force the cadre members to revive the suspended agitation and give due cognizance to the just and genuine demands as considerable delay has been caused quite detrimental to the interest of the accounts personel.
