| Vikas elected as president of JURSEA | | | Early Times reporter Jammu | Aug 31 Vikas Sharma was elected as the president of Jammu University Research Scholars’ Executive Association (JURSEA) by defeating his immediate rival Amit with the margin of five votes. Vikas managed to get sixteen votes while Amit could secure only seven votes. Another candidate in foray for the post, Ranjit secured only four votes. The results of the election for various posts of JURSEA were declared here today. For Vice president post, two candidates were in foray among them Shivani emerged victorious by obtaining 15 votes. Her opponent Anuradha secured 12 votes. For the post of General Secretary, there was a tie between Pavinder Singh and Rajneesh Sharma as both managed to secure eleven votes each. Another candidate named Krishan Dev Singh managed to get only five votes. Sanjana Gupta emerged victorious by defeating Roop Lal Sharma with the margin of one vote. Sanjana got fourteen votes while Roop Lal secured thirteen votes. Sajid Hussain was unanimously declared as the Joint secretary of JURSEA.
