Jammu,September 01 : Filmstar Sanjay Dutt who is visiting religious places after coming out of the jail on temporary bail could not perform darshan at the famous Mata Vaishno devi shrine nested in Trikuta hills as weather gods played spoil sport and left him stranded mid way in Jaipur for long hours.
Dutt had boarded a private flight from Mumbai on Saturday morning along with his girl friend Manyatya to reach Jammu but could not land here in Jammu as bad weather prevented him to take off from Jaipur due to heavy downpour.
Dutt had landed in Jaipur for a refill but his plane couldnot take off in time to reach Jammu.The programme was rescheduled as landings couldnot take place in Jammu after 5.30 p.m and Dutt who was stranded in Jaipur would have failed to make it to Jammu within the stipulated time limit.
Reports reaching here said that Dutt is now expected to perform darshan at the bhawan shrine on Sunday morning and has already reached national capital where he is expected to stay during the night.
Meanwhile, reports from Katra said that soon after hearing the news of Dutt's arrival shrine board autorities had taken certain preventive measures to control public and had also made elaborate security arrangements to prevent any untoward incident.
Reports said that after performing darshan at the mata vaishno devi shrine Dutt is also expected to visit Golden temple in Amritsar and Triputi temple before heading home.
