TADA Court fixes Oct 18 for hearing
Rubiya Sayeed kidnapping case also heard

JAMMU, SEPTEMBER-01- Presiding Officer TADA/POTA Court Jammu Sanjay Gupta today after hearing the counsel for the CBI in a case of killing of 5 air-force personnel in the month of January, 1990 at Batmaloo, Srinagar on framing charges fixed October 18 as the next date of hearing of the case. Mohammed Yaseen Malik Supremo JKLF along with other accused persons including Bitta-Karate was present in the Court.
The other cases including much publicized kidnapping of Dr. Rubiya Syed d/o former Home Minister and Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayed, who was kidnapped in the month of December 1989, and also killing of a civilian Mohammed Shafi Dar in Maisuma attack in which one BSF personnel also sustained injuries also came up for hearing today.
In all the three cases the CBI framed and presented charge sheet in the TADA Court which were pending for more than 17 years.
In another much publicized one lakh US Dollar case registered by the Kud Police on March 23, 2002, the Crime Branch after completion of the investigation presented challan in the court of POTA against JKLF Supremo Yaseen Malik, Mustaq Ahmed Dar and Shamima alias Shazia alias Bitti. In this case all the three accused are on bail and the case is still at the stage of framing charges. Barring JKLF Supremo, the other two accused were not present in the court and their behalf applications for exemption was filed which was accepted by the court.
It is worthwhile to mention here that accused Shamima and Mustaq Ahmed Dar involved in one lakh US dollar case, before the CJM Jammu categorically denied that they have made any statement before the police against JKLF Supremo’s involvement in this case.
