| Anti Corruption frames charges against ASI caught red-handed | | |
JAMMU, SEPTEMBER-01- Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu today framed charges against Bharat Bhushan, the then ASI posted at P/S Bus Stand Jammu, who was entrusted with the investigation of a case under FIR NO 56/2006, by misuse of his official position demanded Rs 5000 as illegal gratification for favoring the informant. The said informant Kulwant Singh lodged a complaint with SSP VOJ on November 20, 2006 after registering the case, trap was laid by the Vigilance Team and caught the accused ASI red-handed while demanding and accepting an illegal gratification of Rs 5000. The accused was later on granted bail by the Court.
Today the Court after hearing both the sides framed charges against accused Bharat Bhushan, the then ASI u/s 5(2) r/w section 5 (1) (d) of the J&K PC Act 2006. JNF
