| High frequency radio transmitters for Poonch, Rajouri sought | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu September 1, 2007 In order to tackle the anti-India propaganda unleashed by the Pakistan Television net work, there is a great need to install high frequency radio and television transmitters in the twin border districts of Poonch and Rajouri. Voicing this demand at a press conference here today senior BJP leader Kuldeep Raj Gupta has urged upon the Centre to get high frequency transmitters installed at these two border district to minimize the impact of the venomous propaganda from across the border. Strongly criticizing the UPA government for withdrawal and reduction of troops, the BJP leader said that this ‘foolish’ decision of the Centre has encouraged the militants who are openly moving from one place to another in these districts. Accusing the Centre of its soft policy towards its neighbor, the BJP leader said that Pakistan Television was spreading anti- India propaganda to create wedge between different communities in the state. He Gupta further said the government was more concerned about the rehabilitation of the militants rather than those affected by the militancy. He alleged that the government had adequate funds to distribute among the surrendered militants, while the unemployed youth were suffering for want of funds.
