| Jammu face Kathua in Semi Final of Handball | | | Early Times Reporter

On the third day in the ongoing Divisional level Inter District Handball Championship Boys and Girls all age group. Morning session was totally washed out due to heavy showers in the morning.
The league matches which were scheduled to be played in the morning have been completed in the evening session.
Jai Raj District Youth Services and Sports officer Jammu who visited the Parade ground Jammu along with other officials of the Department was introduced with players of both the teams of Distt. Doda and Distt. Udhampur.
The championship is part of Annual Calendar of Activity of the Deptt.
Results of the today’s matches are as follows:
In U-19 yrs Boys:
District Doda beat District Udhampur by 7:3 goals. Aftab was the main scorer with 4 goals for Doda while Ravi Pratap Singh scored 3 goals for Udhampur in the 1st match.
Kathua beat Rajouri by 9:6 goals. Nitin Jasrotia and Munish Sharma was the main scorer with 6 and 3 goals for Kathua while Manpreet Singh scored 3 goals for Rajouri in the 2nd match.
In U-17 yrs Boys:
The match between Distt Doda and District Udhampur was ended in a draw as both the teams scored 10 goals each. Munamil Malik and Sarwad Shakir was the main scorer with 3 goals for Doda each while Neeraj Gupta, Akshay Kumar and Rattan Lal was the main scorer with 2 goals each for Udhampur.
In U-14 Boys:
District Doda beat District Udhampur by 10:03 goals. Yousuf Ahmed and Shah Rukh scored 5 and 3 goals respectively for the winners in the 1st match.
District Jammu beat District Poonch by 09:04 goals. Iqbal Chowdhary and Sajad was the main scorer with 5 and 4 goals for Jammu while Zulfkar Ahmed scored 3 goals for the Poonch in the 2nd match.
Results of the Girls matches are as follows:
In U-17 yrs Girls:
District Jammu beat Doda by 7:1 goals. Heena Chowdhary was the main scorer with 5 goals for Jammu while as Asma scored 1 goal for the Doda in the 1st match.
District Kishtwar beat District Poonch by 2:1 goals. Priya was the main score with 2 goals for Kishtwar while as Shabnum scored 1 goal fro the Poonch in the 2nd match.
In U-19 yrs Girls:
District Jammu beat District Kishtwar by 9:4 goals. Arushi was the main scorer with 7 goals for Jammu while as Reena Devi scored 2 goals for the Kishtwar in the 1st match.
The match between Udhampur and Poonch was ended in a draw as the both the teams scored 3 goals each. Preetpal Kour was the main scorer with 3 goals for Poonch while Nikita Shrama scored 3 goals for Udhampur in the 2nd match.
In U-14 yrs Boys:
District Jammu was the winners while District Doda was the runner-up in the U-14 yrs Boys.
In U-19 yrs Boys:
Jammu faces Kathua in the 1st semi final.
Doda faces Poonch in the 2nd semi final.
In U-17 yrs Boys:
Jammu faces Doda in the 1st semi final.
Rajouri faces Poonch in the 2nd semi final.
The Final and Semi Final matches of U-19 and U-17 yrs will be played on September 2.
