| Court rejects bail of accused involved in chopping arm | | | JAMMU, SEPTEMBER-02- Presiding Officer TADA/POTA/3rd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu Mr. Sanjay Gupta dismissed the bail application filed by the accused facing trial in a case of chopping arm of the complainant along with other accused. The allegations against the accused are that on September 9, 2006 applicant Jatinder Singh along with other four accused intercepted Chain Singh s/o Daleep Singh at about 7.30 PM at Chougan Mandi Gura Slathian. All the accused armed with ‘TOKA’ with intention to kill the Chain Singh attacked him with the Toka. Chain Singh in order to save himself raised his hand and the blow of TOKA was so strong that his arm was chopped and fell down. The accused along with other accused persons took chopped arm along with them and fled away in a vehicle number 344-JKO2 and threw chopped arm in river Tawi. The 3rd Additional Sessions Judge, after hearing Additional Public Prosecutor Mr. Gulzar Singh Charka and counsel for the accused, observed that J&K high Court in a bail application has held that bail in heinous offences cannot be granted and the offence committed by the applicant/accused is very heinous and keeping in view whole circumstances of case and the order of the High Court, court is of the view that the applicant/accused is not entitled to bail. With these observations this bail application is dismissed, the Court ordered.
