| 78 road projects involving 143 cr taken up under PMGSY in Poonch | | |
Poonch September 2- Seventy eight projects with a total road length of 358 kms involving a cost of Rs.143.05 crore have been taken up in Poonch district during the current fiscal under Prime Minister’s Grameen Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) . On completion these projects would provide communication facility to 115 villages of the district benefiting a population of over two lakhs.
Out of these 78 schemes, 10 road projects having a length of 38 kms has been taken up in hand for execution at a cost of Rs.16,19 crore and on completion these road net works would provide connectivity to 33904 souls. The work on four other road projects is likely to be started shortly while eight other projects have been put to tendering.
The work on 2.50 Km road project from Qasba to Bandichachian at a cost of Rs.113.54 lakhs and 2 Km road from Loran to Sib involving a cost of Rs.94.22 lakhs is apace and are likely to be made fair weather within a period of nine months.
