Bovines recovered, three held

Gandhi Nagar police recovered seven bovines from a truck which was on way to Kashmir from Bari Brahmna. Police arrested three persons in this regard and registered a case against them.
According to reports, police got information that a truck bearing number JK02L/2685 supposed to be loaded with FCI rice for Srinagar was also carrying some bovines in it. Police after getting information swung into action and laid a special naka at Bikram Chowk under the supervision of SP South Zahid Manhas led by SHO Gandhi Nagar Rafiq Manhas and stopped the truck. During checking police recovered seven bovines which were hidden behind the bags of rice. Police sized the truck and arrested three persons including owner of bovine namely Mohd Aslam son of Bashir Ahmed resident of Bari Brahmna, Driver Mohd Yusuf and Conductor Mohd Tariq. Police also seized 186 bags of rice which was of FCI supply to Srinagar.
