| Young girl, youth die in grenade blast | | | Kathua | SEP 3
A young girl and a youth died in an accidental grenade blast when they were cutting grass in the village Dhola in Bani of district Kathua. According to reports, last evening a youth namely Papu Kumar son of Dhyan Singh and Champa Devi daughter of Soba Ram both resident of Biljedi were cutting the grass in the area and recovered a grenade. They picked the grenade and started playing with it when it accidentally exploded resulting into demise of the two. The locals after hearing the sound of the blast rushed to the spot and took them to hospital where doctors declared them as brought dead.
Police has also launched a search operation in the area but no other grenade was recovered in the area as last reports came in.
