| BJP flays VIP treatment to Dutt | | | Early Times Reporter

State BJP General Secretary Shamsher Singh Manhas demanded action against those who gave VIP treatment to Sanjay Dutt a convict. He said that by providing government vehicles to Sanjay Dutt and his comparisons and by arranging a comfortable journey for them from Jammu Airport to Katra, the congress-led coalition government has not flouted the laws of the land but also given respectability to those involved in the 1993 bomb blasts directly or indirectly.
The BJP leader charged the congress-led coalition government with the allegation that the congress is responsible for the rise of militancy not only in the state but also elsewhere in the country by helping and shielding questionable elements. He said that the congress has deliberately refused to unhold the rule of law in case of Sanjay Dutt because the belongs to the family of hard core congressman and whatever has been done by the state government during the Sanjay Dutt visit to holy Shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi has been done with the full backing of the AICC (I) president whose love for the Sanjay Dutt family is not a secret fact.
The BJP leader warned that such action on the part of the Congress will further vitiate the security environment and help militants to carry on their activities.
