| Help line for receiving complaints | | | Srinagar, September 3 – In a move aimed at ensuring supply of safe and quality drugs to people, the Drugs and Food Control Organization (D&FCO) has established a telephone help line. The telephone number for receiving complaints in Jammu is 2536043 and 2495191 in Srinagar.
Anybody having complaint with regard to overcharging of drugs, substitution of prescribed drugs by chemists, sale of scheduled drugs without prescription, sale/stocking of expired drugs/physician samples, un-licensed shops, absence of enforcement agency at district headquarters and sale of habit forming drugs like narcotics, analgesics, hypnotics, sedatives, tranquilizers can register his complaint on these numbers during office hours.
The mode of registration of complaints is that a complainant will have to ask for registration number and record his/her telephone number also for giving rmation. The official deployed to record complaints shall pass on the complaints to concerned Assistant Drug Controller who will get the complaints verified and submit the report to Controller Drugs within 48 hours
