Attack on state party chief condemned

Several congress leaders and workers in separate statements have strongly condemned the attack on Pradesh Congress chief, Peerzada Mohammed Sayeed.
In a joint statement issued by Pradesh Congress Committee several leaders have expressed concern over repeated attempts on the life of PCC Chief, and demanded thorough probe into the attack. The signatories to the joint statement included Dharam Pal Sharma MLC, S. Parduman Singh, Yash Paul Khajuria, Amrit Malhotra and R.S Chib-MLC, Ravinder Sharma, Hari Singh, Vinod Sharma, Indu Pawar, Shiv Dev Singh, Kanta Bhan, Vinod Mishra, Geeta Devi, Amalok Singh, Janak Raj Gupta. Baldev Sharma, Puran Singh, Darshan Raina, Raval Matto, Shamsher Singh Chib and others.
District congress committee Jammu (Urban) in an extra ordinary meeting has strongly condemned the militants attack on PC President and describe it a matter of serious concern.
The committee in its meeting presided over by district congress committee president Jammu (Urban) and Ex-MLA Om Chopra demanded through probe into the incident to pin point the responsibilities for the lapses at any level. The committee has expressed strong concern and impressed upon the government to direct concerned agencies for adequate security measures and precautions in this regard.
Others who condemned the attack D.S Langeh, S. Kirtan Singh, Mansa Ram, Mohd. Saleem Khan, M.M Handa, Raj Bakshi, Kailash Rani, Padmani Langeh, S.Mohan Singh, Kulbushan Sharma, Om Parkash, Parveen Singh, J.L. Kaul, Amar Chand, B.S. Mastana, Deepak Jangral.
District congress committee Jammu condemned the attack on PCC Chief militants and through probe in the incident.
In a meeting held here today under the president ship of Th. Balwant Singh termed this act. As cowardice and said that such acts of anti-social and anti national elements will not stop congress to work for unity, integrity, peace progress and development of the state.
Others who condemn the attack included Harbans Bral, Ved Parkash Bhagat, Pritam Singh, Dr. Kamal Singh, R.C Sharma, Sardari Lal, Kali Bral, Bhagwan Singh, Kamal Sharma, Chatter Singh Saini, Talentar Singh, Ram Rattan Sharma, Soba Singh, Capt. Amar Nath, Kuber Singh, Ch. Bashir Ahmed, th. Puran Singh and Ram Saran Bhagat.
At Srinagar Pradesh Congress Committee, Vice President, Bashir Ahmed Magrey MLC, Haji Ab. Mohd. Bhat, Ali Mohd. Sofi has strongly condemned the attack on Peerzada mohd. Sayeed by militants.
Mohd. Anwar Bhat, Habibullah Bhat-General Secretaries, Mohd. Abdullah Nadaf-Secretary and Ghulam Hassan Rather expressed their serious concern over the attack on the life of Peerzada Sayeed at Putkha-Pattan, while on way to Sopore. Terming this act cowardice, they said such acts will not stop congress to work for unity, integrity, peace, progress and development of the state.
Gulzar Ahmed Wani, President District Congress Committee Anantnag in a statement condemned the attack on Peerzada Mohd. Sayeed. He strongly condemned this attack and termed it cowardice. He said District congress Committee Anantnag demands proble into the incident.
