| DBS protests against ‘Sacher Committee Report’, burn effigy | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu September 3 Protesting against the recommendations of the Sacher Committee Report, for granting reservations to the minorities, in government agencies, Dogra Brahmin Sabha (DBS) organized a protest demonstration in this regard here today. The protest demonstration was organized by the Dogra Brahmin Sabha in collaboration with Praja Parishad. The protestors were being led by Vishal Dharamath President of the Parshu Ram Dal, Youth wing of Dogra Sabha and Sunil Rakha, senior Youth leader of Praja Parishad. On this occasion the protestors raised anti-reservation slogans and condemned the Sacher Committee for its ill designed reservation policy by granting reservations to the minorities especially to the Muslims. Addressing the gathering Vishal Dharmath said that as the Brahmins are the biggest Hindu community and is suffering badly due to the ill-designed reservation policies of the Governments at the Centre. He further added that since the Brahmins never demanded reservation, then why these committees are recommending reservations to the minorities and Muslims. Senior leader Praja Parishad, Sunil Rakha, also described the Sacher committee recommendations as an assault on the basic bonds of unity and integrity of the nation. On this occasion protestors also burnt effigy of ‘Sacher Committee’. Others who spoke on this occasion were Ashok Sharma, Vikas Sharma and Om Parkash Sharma.
