| BRS demands reservation, threaten agitation | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu September 3 Brahman Rajput Sabha has demanded 27 percent reservation to community members as is being provided to other sections of the society and threatened agitation to press the government for acceptance of this demand. Addressing press conference here today the President, Brahman Rajput Sabha, Rakesh Pant has blamed both the Centre and the State Government of the miserable plight of the community and alleged that little has been done to mitigate their growing problems. He alleged that despite repeated pleas the successive governments have failed to provide reservation to the community as is being the case with the other communities in the state and warned agitation if this legitimate demand was not conceded at the earliest. He further said that the elections to the Brahmins and Rajputs Sabha would be held soon in which candidates of the community would be fielded for all the seats. He said the Sabha would strongly plead and struggle for grant of 27 per cent reservation to the community members. Suresh Raskotra, Parveen and Naveen Manhas were also present at the press conference. .
