Jourian police today arrested five persons involved in gambling and recovered over Rs. 13,000 from them on spot.
A police party headed by Incharge Police Station Journian Balbinder Singh on the directions of SDPO Akhnoor Ashok Sharma on a specific information conducted a raid at in the area and arrested five persons on spot while gambling.
Those arrested are Vijay Kumar S/o Tilak Raj, Sohan Lal S/o Krishan Lal, Pawan Kumar S/o Darshan Lal, Naseeb Singh residents of Akhnoor and Joginder Singh S/o Guru Dutta of Jammu.
The Police has registered a case against the accused under the Gambling Act.
