| Twin bomb blasts kill 22 in Pakistan | | | Islamabad: Two bomb blasts just minutes apart killed at least 22 people and injured several others in Rawalpindi near the Pakistani capital on Tuesday morning, a senior Army officer said. The first bomb exploded in a bus at Qasim Market in Rawalpindi at 7.25 am, killing at least 15 people and injuring over 18 others, Pakistani Army spokesman Major General Waheed Arshad said. The ill-fated bus was plying with officers of a sensitive government institution when the explosion took place damaging the bus completely, according to him. The second blast occurred in one of Rawalpindi's commercial districts when a bomb rigged to a motorbike parked in RA Bazaar exploded with a fierce sound killing at least seven people and injuring scores, according to Maj Gen Arshad. "These blasts are terrorist activities and all those killed are innocent Pakistanis," he said. All the injured have been admitted to the CMH Hospital.
