| Employment workshop held | | | Early Times Reporter
Srinagar| September 04 – To facilitate creation of employment opportunities for both skilled and un-skilled workers, the Department of Employment today organized a workshop at S. P. Higher Secondary School Srinagar.
The workshop was attended by a large number of unemployed candidates drawn from within and outside Srinagar district.
The workshop was aimed at sensitizing and roping in unemployed youth in setting up call centres under which services of ITI trained technicians in various trades would be available for construction and development activities in private as well as government sectors.
Senior officers of Employment Department including Deputy and Assistant Directors made informative speeches, explaining the novel concept of generating avenues of employment through call centres for professionals and labourers on sustainable basis.
The speakers apprised the participants that the department of employment would cover all such centres under Self-Employment Scheme under which a slew of incentives in the shape of margin money and interest subsidy would be made available to the entrepreneurs.
Assuring that these call centres would take off successful in the state, the senior functionaries of employment department promised full guidance, help and cooperation in smooth running of these centres
