| KU Registrar resigns | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Sept 4: It is not that controversies are confined to the Jammu University alone, its counterpart; the Kashmir University is mired into more deep mess. In a reflection of much deeper disarray in the Kashmir University, its Registrar Prof Mehraj-ud-Din today tendered his resignation. Sources told EARLY TIMES that this development came in after large lobby of academicians and officers were pressing in for his resignation on moral grounds. Sources said that Prof Mehraj-ud-Din had forwarded his resignation to the Kashmir University Vice Chancellor Prof Abdul Wahid Qureshi on Monday. Sources also confirmed that the Vice Chancellor accepted the resignation today. The University, instead of immediately giving charge another officer, the University is likely to launch a hunt for a new Registrar soon, said the sources.
