| 2 dead, 7 wounded in road mishap | | | Early Times Reporter Ramban, Sept 05 : At least two persons including a B.Ed student died and seven others wounded, three of them critically, when a Tata-Sumo, they were traveling in rolled down about 300 feet in a Nallah, near Ramsoo Police Post on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, here this morning. Sources said that a Tata Sumo (JK01G/8295) was on its way to Srinagar from Jammu , when it skidded off the road near Ramsoo at about 6:30 am resulting in injuries to all the nine passengers including the driver of the vehicle. Nine persons were injured in the mishap out of whom condition of three, including driver, was critical, sources said adding, the critically injured were shifted to SKIMS Srinagar for specialised treatment, while others were admitted in Ramban district hospital. However, sources told that two of the injured - including the driver of the vehicle - scummbed to their injuries on way to the hospital. Inspector Traffic Police, Banihal sector, Farooq Ahmad, when contacted confirmed the report and said that two persons including driver of the vehicle succumbed to their injuries while on way to Hospital. The deceased have been identified as Nisar Ahmad (driver) and Raju, a B.Ed student from Rajasthan.
