| SVO challans forest corporation officials for fraud | | | Early Times Reporter JAMMU | Sep 5 State Vigilance Organisation presented challan in the Court of Special Judge, Anti-Corruption, Jammu against Sh Ashok Kumar Koul the then Dy Manager, State Forest Corporation, Dudu Range and Ram Lal, driver of State Forest Corporation, Udhampur Division for fraudulent drawl of wages in respect of daily wagers employed at private Bee Keeping farm and misuse of official vehicle.
Case FIR No 28/1994 under section 5(2) P.C. Act svt 2006 r/w section 120-B RPC police station Vigilance Organisation, Jammu was registered following a Preliminary .Enquiry by SVO which prima facie established that Nizam –ud-din Bhat, Divisional Manager, State Forest Corporation, Udhampur had developed a private Bee Keeping farm near Sud Mahadev and was visiting for its supervision using Govt vehicle. He was also found to have detailed three daily wagers of SFC to work in the private Bee Keeping farm. In the course of investigation it was revealed that Om Prakash, Sh Banarasi Lal & Mukthair Ahmad Daily wagers whose wages were drawn from SFC extension range Dudu by Ashok Kumar Koul, then Dy Manager, were working at the private Bee Keeping farm of the Divisional Manager. There wages were drawn by the officials by manipulating the mustar rolls. The Divisional Manager was found to have paid several visits tohis Bee Keeping farm at Sud Mahadev in his official vehicle and in the log book the visit was shown to some other place in connection with Govt work fraudulently. After accord of sanction for prosecution the challan of the case was produced before the court of law which fixed the next date of hearing on 05.10.2007. It may not be out of place to mention here that Sh Nizam –ud-Din Bhat was under treatment in London during which he passed away.
