| Mendhar girls sports competition concludes today | | | Early Times Reporter
Poonch|September 05: Ten day long Inter School Girls sports competition conducted by Mendhar Battalion aimed at giving a boost and exposure to the fairer sex of the vast population residing in far flung and interior areas of Mendhar Tehsil, concludes today
The Sports Competition was spread over a period of ten days from 27 August to 05 September 2007. The Principal Girls Higher Secondary School, Mendhar inaugurated the competition on 27 August 2007 in a simple ceremony organized by the Mendhar Battalion. A total of nine schools namely Govt Degree College, MD College Mendhar, GHSS Mendhar, GHSS Ari, GHS Harni, PHS Mendhar, PWS Hamirpur, PWS Sabra and GGMS Mendhar participated in the events
The competition generated a lot of enthusiasm in the local population since this sports competition exclusively for the girl student was the first of its kind organized in Mendhar Tehsil. The civil authorities and the Principals of all the schools lauded the efforts put in by Mendhar Battalion in organizing this event.
