| HC stays operation of allotment order of shop at Bahu Plaza | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu|Sep 6- Justice Nirmal Singh of J&K High Court Jammu wing in a writ petition filed by one Rajinder Kumar Gupta challenging the allotment of shop at Bahu-Plaza to private respondent Vijay Katoch, has issued notice to the respondents returnable within four weeks. In the meanwhile operation of order allotment the shop to Vijay Katoch is stayed with the direction to the respondents that if the possession of shop has not been handover as yet, the same be not handed over to her. In the petition the counsel for the petitioner SS Ahmed submitted that petitioner Rajinder Kumar Gupta submitted an application on November 9, 2006 for allotment of shop/hall at Bahu Palza along with draft for an amount of Rs 3, 36, 200. The application of the petitioner was returned back on the ground that the JDA has not issued any notification for allotment of shop. The other persons who had also applied for the allotment of shop, their applications were also returned along with the application of respondent Vijay Katoch, but subsequently the VC JDA without issuing any notification allotted the shop to Vijay Katoch. Upon this Justice Nirmal Singh issued notice to the respondent returnable within four weeks and in the meantime stayed the operation of allotment order
