‘Alleging nexus between land grabbers and police’, Kartar Singh of Bhalwal has demanded stern action against all those involved in land grabbing. He alleged that police was shielding the land grabbers and in this connection referred the involvement of SHO Kanachak, Ravinder Iqbal.
Addressing media men here today, Kartar Singh said that the concerned SHO was shielding the land grabbers and providing all possible help to the land mafia to grab the government as well as private land on money consideration..
Giving details, he said that land measuring about 180 Kanals in Bhalwal area belonging to him has been forcibly grabbed by the land mafia and a case in this connection stands filed in the court since last 18 years.
Singh said that despite stay order from the Court the land grabbers have forcibly started construction on the land with the connivance of the SHO concerned. He said on approaching the SHO concerned, he showed his inability to help and even refused to register a case against the accused land grabber. He further said that when he visited Kanachak Police station to register a case, the SHO concerned threatened of dire consequences if any complaint was lodged against the accused land grabbers and even put me in the police station for full day.
