| SD predicts early poll, alleges discrimination with Jammu region | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu| Sep6 Hinting that the Assembly elections in the state would be pre-poned early next year, Kuldeep Sharma President State Unit of Shakti Dal (SD) asserted that his party would contest all the seats in Jammu and Kashmir and would give a tough fight to the ruling alliance. Announcing this at a press conference here today, Sharma said that the elections to the state Assembly would be held sometime in February-March next year and his party would contest all the seats in the state. He said that the growing tug of war between the two major coalition partners- Congress and PDP- would force the government to go for early elections in the state and accused the ruling alliance of its failure on all fronts. He said the government has not come up to the expectations of the people and most of the promises made during the previous elections still remain unfulfilled. He said the people were fed up with the working of the coalition government and alleged discrimination with Jammu region. He said while seven flyovers have been sanctioned for Kashmir Valley only one has been sanctioned for Jammu region. He alleged that the people were clamoring for basic amenities of life like drinking water and electricity and the authorities were watching all this as mute spectators. Sharma said that the tall claims of CM of providing corruption free administration has fallen flat as the corruption was deep rooted in the administration especially in the revenue department. He alleged that the nexus between the land mafia and revenue officials was at peak with nobody daring to challenge them. Sharma sought Chief Minister’s resignation following his failure in providing corruption free and transparent administration to the people of the state apart from discriminating the people of Jammu region in respect of development. Sharma also announced that Shakti Dal would organize a mass protest rally early next month against the alleged discrimination with Jammu region.
