| Jammu maintains supremacy | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Sep 7 Jammu District again maintained its supremacy by lifting Inter District Girls Kabaddi (all age groups) championship held at Youth Hostel Nagrota by defeating Kathua and Rajouri in the championship today. About 255 players participated in the tournament. The championship played on the knock out basis was organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, as part of its annual calendar of activities. Youth Hostel warden Nagrota, Amrit Singh who was the chief guest at the concluding function distributed trophies among the winners and runners up. Others present on the occasion included Chanchal Kour, Sadiq Hussain, Sarbjeet Singh, Veerji and BK Tikoo. The results of the finals played: In under 14: District Jammu defeated district Rajouri by 59:54. In under 19 first semi- final: Kathua outclassed Rajouri by 31: 29 Jammu thrashed Doda by 49:10 in second semifinal. In Under 19 final: Jammu edged past Kathua by 43:32 points. In under 17 year first semifinal: Kathua beat Samba by 47: 25. Jammu outclassed Poonch by 59:10 points in second semifinal. In under 17 final: Jammu beat Kathua by 52:36 points.
