| Acting CJ inaugurates IVRS System | | | Early Times Reporter JAMMU, SEPT 07- Chief Justice (Acting) Justice Aftab Alam of J&K High Court inaugurated the Inter Active Voice Response System (IVRS), a facility for the litigants to their case status through phone at High Court here today. On this occasion, Justice Virender Singh, Justice YP Nargotra, Justice JP Singh, Registrar General Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Dar, Mr. MK Hanjura Principal Secretary to Chief Justice (Acting), Registrar Rules Mr. JB Singh Jamwal, and Deputy Registrar Judicial Mr. Jaffer Hussain Beigh, Deputy Registrar Computer/Administration RK Kachroo and others were present. The system devolved by NIC will provide access to the litigations to known their case status by making a single phone call. NIC Scientist Kiran Kumar Koul Incharge Computer Center, demonstrated the operation of IVRS System to Chief Justice (Acting), by dialing Ph No 2534712. According to Koul, the system can enable the litigants to know their case status while sitting at their home on a single phone call during or after the office hours. The system has a further scope of improvement to make it easy for the litigants to get the valuable information about their case. This is another step of the state High Court towards providing to general public the transparent and easier access to justice. JNF
