Court rejects bail of accused possessing 3000 capsules

JAMMU|SEP 07 Chief Judicial Magistrate Jammu Mr. Sanjeev Gupta today rejected the bail application of Shamsher Singh involving in possessing 3000 capsules.
According to the police report on August 11 last at 6.30 PM the police intercepted the scooter, during Naka checking and after search of the scooter of accused 3000 capsules of Polyvan Spas were recovered. The accused could not produce any documentary material in support of his possession of such a large number of capsules. According to the CPO MA Manhas that one capsule of Polyvan Spas contains the Dextropropoxy Phane, Hydrochloride- 65 mg meaning thereby that 3000 capsules recovered from the accused.
CJM, after hearing CPO MA Manhas and Adv BL Chatta appearing for the accused and also going through the objections filed by the CPO as well as report of the police and case dairy, observed that the seized capsules are more than small quantity, as such this court has no jurisdiction to deal with this bail application and thus rejected the bail application.
