| Adbi Kunj pays floral tributes to Chandan | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu September 7 The literary organization of the state, Adbi Kunj’ paid floral tributes to the famous poet late Avtar Singh Chandan on his death anniversary at a special meet organized here today. The meeting was presided over by Raj Kumri Saigal while eminent Urdu story writer Talib Kashmiri and K K Shakir, an eminent Urdu poet were the guests of hounor. Describing Avtar Singh as ‘Darvesh Shair’ Sham Talib, President Adbi Kunj threw light on the life and achievements of the late poet. Earlier, Talib Kahsmiri read out Urdu short story’ Kasoorwar’ based on corruption and misuse of power by the politicians. The speakers at the meet recalled the contribution of late Singh in enriching poetry and maintained that he would be remembered by his admires for a long time. Ohers who paid rich tributes to Avtar Singh were Anand Lehar, K K Shakir and Kirpal Singh.
