| Court directs SSP VOJ for enquiry against so-called NGO | | | Early Times Reporter
Jammu|Sep 8- Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu Kartar Singh today in a complaint filed by one Ghulam Hussian Thikria against NGO, forwarded the complaint to SSP VOJ Jammu for enquiry followed by registration of FIR and investigation if the allegations found prima-facie correct.
In the complaint filed by the complainant against one Bachan Lal Choudhary of Gandhi Nagar Jammu, it was alleged that sometime back, the accused persons got registered themselves as NGO by including all the office bearers and members of his family, fraudulently and with malafide intention to grab funds in the name of society and this way duped the public exchequer.
It is further alleged in the complaint that under the provision of Society’s Registration Act, a society of different members from different families of the society can be constituted and registered in the interest of public. But accused played fraud by including his family members as the office bearers and the members of his society just to grab money granted from the state as well as Central Government for the welfare of the public. The complainant prayed before the court for issuance of direction to Commissioner Vigilance to register a case against BL Choudhary and investigate the matter. JNF
