Youth wing of All Jammu and Kashmir Mahasha Sadar Sabha today held a dharna in support of its demand for shifting the slaughter house near a Temple of Guru Nabha Dass Ji here.
The Sabha activist led by the President Rajinder Kumar held a protest demonstration here today to focus the attention of the authorities towards its long pending demand.
Addressing the protestors, Rajinder Kumar alleged that despite several assurances in the past by the Chief Minister and other Ministers including the JMC Mayor, the slaughter house continues to function from the locality causing great inconvenience to the general public and those who visit the nearby temple daily.
He said the Sabha would intensify the stir if its demand of shifting the slaughter house from the present site was not conceded forthwith.
Among others who took part in the dharna include Bansi Lal, Avtar Chand, Yusuf Malik, Neeraj Kumar, Prem and Thoru Ram.
