| Engineers asked to maintain mosque roads | | | Early Times Reporter
Jammu|Sep 8: Minister for R&B Gulchain Singh Charak today directed Chief Engineer Kashmir to properly maintain and decorate all surrounding roads of Shrines Khankhas and Masajid Sharief of valley so that devotes could not face any inconvenience during holy month of Ramadhan.
This direction was given by the Minister during his inspection to various ongoing works at Mukhdoom Sahib-Nowhatta road, Dastigeer Sahib road this morning. He also inspected mecadamization work of Karannagar-Nawakadal road and Haffat Chinar-Jawaharnagar road.
All these roads are being developed under City Development Roads Project Programme on which Rs. 7 crore are being spent in current financial year.
The Minister directs the Engineers to speed up the mecadamization work under this programme as working season is running very fast in valley. He was assured that all mecadamization work would be completed with in prescribed time.
