| “Murtaza exhorts party workers to gear up for elections” | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Sep 8 Peoples Democratic Party General Secretary Murtaza Khan MLC, exhorted Party workers to brace up for the coming elections, which are round the corner. Khan said this while addressing a largely attended Party workers meeting at Banihal, which was organized by Zonal President Abdul Ahad Wani and Farooq Mir, who joined PDP recently. Khan reiterated Party’s resolve to bring peace with dignity, mitigate the sufferings of the masses in remote and far flung areas and equal distribution of development funds to all the three regions of the State. He also recalled the programs and policies of PDP Patron Mufti Mohd Sayed, as Chief Minister of the State which included healing touch policy. The Party General Secretary also addressed a big workers meeting at Ramban, which was arranged by Abdul Rashid Katoch, Shakeel Bhat, Abdul Aziz Malik Bahar Rounyal and Hukam Chand Bhagat. Various local problems were highlighted to which senior leader assured to take up the matter with concerned quarters for redressal of the same. The local leaders, both at Banihal and Ramban hailed the decision of Party President Mehbooba Mufti for nomination of new officer bearers of State body of PDP
