Close to the heels of sexual harassment case in the Leh division of Army, a molestation case has rocked the prestigious Government Medical College here.
A lady doctor, Post Graduate student whose name is being withheld has complained of sexual harassment by one of the senior doctors. According to sources she made complaint before the Principal of GMC regarding this but after the interference of some senior doctors, the lady doctor took back her complaint.
Sources said that the lady doctor, a student of PG from Government Medical College, blamed that a senior doctor who is also taking her classes tries to harass her whenever he finds her alone at the GMC.
She also alleged that the said senior doctor always passes vulgar comments on her and tried to tease her. Sources also told that she is married and her husband is also a doctor. Her parents also came in GMC after getting information to make a complaint in police but after the interference of some senior doctor they made a patch-up with senior doctor and not registered any complaint in police station, sources added.
