| BSF, Rangers discuss border smuggling | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu|Sep 8: Top officials of BSF and Pakistani Rangers today began three-day talks in Lahore to address issues of cross-border drug smuggling and repatriation of prisoners. In the highest-level contact between the border forces, the two sides will also discuss repair of pillars along the International Border. Before crossing over to Pakistan for the talks, BSF Additional Director General G S Gill said the meeting aims at creating better understanding between the border guarding force of the two countries. The two sides will be focusing on ways to check drug trafficking through the border areas of Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir . The 24-member delegation, headed by Gill, also includes top officials of Surveyor General of India, Narcotics Control Bureau and PWD.
