Cross country race organized at Reasi

REASI, AUGUST 14 :
Cross Country Race under the aegis of “National Integration” was organised by tehsil administration Reasi under the supervision of SDM, Mr. Ajeet Kumar Sahu at Reasi this morning.
Tehsildar Reasi, Mr Gain Chand Khajuria along with Tehsildar Settlement, Mr Rattan Chand Tripathy and a large number of officers and prominent citizens flagged off 80 participants of the Cross Country Race from PWD Dak Banglow Chowk, Reasi. The participants of the race after going through Fort View Guest House, Exchange Road, Gaddal and Bus Stand culminated again at Dak Banglow.
Mr Rajinder Kumar, an employee of army was adjudged first who covered the distance 4.30 km just in seven minutes. Mr Javed and Mr Anchal were declared second and third who covered the race in eight and nine minutes respectively and Mr. Zakir stood 4th and Mr. P. S. Thakur got 5th place.
The oldest man among the racers was Mr Kuldeep Khajuria, District Coordinator Distance Education, DIET, Reasi while Mr Raja Amir Khan 10 years old student of Kendra Vidyalaya Jyotipuram, Reasi and Mr. Tritish Singh S/o Prithvi Singh were the youngest. Besides a girl student namely Annam Khan D/o Shri Mohammad Akram of Reasi also took part in the cross country race.
The winner of the cross country race would be awarded on the occasion of Independence Day celebration function at Reasi on 15th August, 2006.
Among others, BDO Reasi, KPS (probationary) Mr Adil Hameed, officers and prominent citizens alongwith media persons were also present on the occasion.
