| 'Centre taking important steps to restore peace in J&K' | | | Early Times Reporter Srinagar | Sep 9: The Centre has initiated various important steps to restore peace and stability in Jammu and Kashmir which have helped in creating a conducive atmosphere for dialogue with various political groups, a state minister said on Sunday. Restoration of peace here has been given serious attention by the central government which has helped to create a conducive atmosphere for dialogue with various political and other groups, state Health Minister Mangat Ram Sharma said addressing a public gathering in Ganderbal district on Sunday. He said peace was pre-requisite for progress and prosperity. Making a fervent appeal to the people for taking full advantage of welfare schemes, he said various political groups were trying to misguide people for narrow political gain. He said the coalition government in the state was committed to provide better health care facilities to those living in remote and hilly areas. He said work on 200-beded hospital at Ganderbal would be started soon.
