| Mehbooba catches Sonia's ears | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu|Sep 10: Even though the government and the Congress party tried their level best to keep the Congress president's visit a non-political affair but still the Peoples Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti managed to have few moments for an exclusive conversation with Sonia Gandhi. Sources said that the women convention in Srinagar, where the Congress president was the chief guest, was arranged in such a manner that no one gets an opportunity to have a one to one meeting with Sonia Gandhi. "The schedule was tightly packed to have a completely official outlook but still Mehbooba Mufti could have her own way", said a source. The source further informed that when Sonia Gandhi left the Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Center to take her flight back, the PDP President Mehbooba Mufti followed her to the helipad. "The moment Sonia Gandhi reached Nehru helipad to board flight for New Delhi, Mehbooba caught up with her and had an exclusive conversation with her lasting for just few minutes", the source said. A source who was eyewitness at the Nehru helipad told EARLY TIMES that the Congress leaders who had reached there to see off the AICC president were seen awestruck when Mehbooba managed the exclusive conversation.
