| Kabaddi championship concludes at Kathua | | Babu Singh assures promotion of game, sports in the district | | Early Times Reporter
Kathua | Sep 10 - Divisional Kabaddi Championship in the memory of Late Vinod Kumar Gogi organized by Kathua district Kabaddi Association at Government Degree Collage, Kathua concluded yesterday.
Minister for Youth Service and Sports Babu Singh was the chief guest on the occassion.
About 25 teams of boys and girls from different districts of the state took part in the championship. In boys section the final match was played between Kathua Kabaddi Association and CRPF team. Kathua Kabaddi Association won the match by 15-25 and 12-31. In girls section Girls Higher Secondary School Chakra played the final with Jakhbar Girl higher secondary school, charka won the final match.
Speaking on the occasion,Babu Singh said that the Government is committed for the promotion of games and sports in the state and as well as in district also. He said that games promote integrity and brotherhood. Games are the part and parcel of our life and they provide us healthy mind and sound health.
Later the Minister distributed prizes among the winner and runner up teams.
Among others Dy. Commandant 20th BN CRPF, K.L. Dhiman, President Kathua Kabaddi Association, Sardar Khan, Secretary, Ghulzar Ahamad Som Nath Sharma were presented on the occasion.
