| EO Municipality presents Rs. one cr cheque to Divcom | | | Early Times Reporter
Doda |Sep 10-- Executive Officer Bhaderwah Municipality Nazir Ahmed Qureshi at a simple function handover a check of one crore rupees to Divisional Commissioner Jammu as the payment collected for the compensation whose land was acquired for the construction of the Bus Stand at Kotli in Bhaderwah. On the occasion a large number of officers of various departments were also present .
Pertinent to mention here that from the last so many years the government had the plan for establishment of the Bus Stand at Bhaderwah but due to the controversy between the two particular communities it could not materialize. While one particular community favored Bus Stand at Pasri other at Pancholan. However ignoring the demands of both the communities the government decided to set up Bus stand at Kotli a centrally located place.
Speaking on the occasion, Divisional Commissioner expressed satisfaction over the selection of the place and said that the construction of Bus Stand at Bhaderwah was the long pending demand. He said the work on it would start shortly adding that the compensation of the land acquired for the bus stand would be disturbed among the affected farmers soon.
On this occasion various political and social leaders expressed pleasure and satisfaction over the decision of setting up of bus stand and also appreciated the Chief Minister Gulam Nabi Azad for his personnel intervention in sorting out the problem. They also appreciated Chairman Bhaderwah Municipality Javed Iqbal Azad and Executive Officer Nazir Ahmed Qureshi for working day and night for this plan and solving the long outstanding issue between the communities .
