| FMHWA highlights their demands, threatens agitation | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu|Sep 10 Threatening to go on strike if the government failed to release the pending salary of last five months to the Female Multipurpose Health Workers by September 15, as was earlier promised by the Secretary Health and Medical Education on August 27 last. This was disclosed at a joint press conference by Saroj Baba President of the FMPWA and Dharminder Singh President JEMEFO here today. These employees’ leaders said that they have been demanding for quite some time for the release of pending salary of last five months besides conceding the other pending demands of the workers that included placement of workers in the grade of 4000-6000, placement of female workers in feeding cadre to the promotion of Health Educator on the analogy of their male counterparts. Dharminder Singh said the workers were facing hardships due to non disbursement of salary for the last five months and appealed the concerned authorities to look into this matter and release the pending salary without any further delay.
