| “Hari Singh Foundation, a social organization, says Ajatshatru | | | Early Times Reporter
Jammu Sept 10 Commenting on the remarks of some politicians that the Maharaja Hari Singh Foundation is a political organization, Ajat Shatru Singh grandson of the Maharja Hari Singh has taken strong exception to these remarks and maintained that Hari Singh Educational and Social Foundation is a social organization and not a political one.
He was speaking at a function organized in connection with the celebrations of the 112th birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh in Jammu. The birth anniversary is to be celebrated on 23rd September. He said that these politicians seem to be ignorant about the history of the Foundation and reminded that that the Foundation was set up by the Maharaja himself with a sole aim to help poor and down trodden people of the state and has nothing to do with the politics as claimed by these leaders..
Singh disclosed that two statutes of late Maharaja would be unveiled in Kathua and Udhampur on the eve of the both anniversary celebrations.
Earlier Ram Pal Dogra, President, Dogra Liberation Front also highlighted some of the achievements of the Foundation. He described the inclusion of the Dogra language in the 8th Schedule of the Constitution as a land mark decision and impressed the need for further promoting the language not only in the state but also throughout the country.
